Good to know
Everything worth knowing before you visit
Short version: book ahead where you can, come as you are, and we will have it all ready for you.
Before you come
- Book ahead where you can - the sauna takes 20 minutes to warm up, so booking ahead means your room is pre-heated and ready when you arrive.
- Walk-ins are welcome Wednesday to Sunday - pop in and if a room is free we'll get you straight in. Mondays and Tuesdays are booking only.
- Running late? Your room waits for you with a 10-minute buffer. Later than that, call or text us - we'll try to rearrange, and if we can't it counts as a no-show under our terms.
- Over-18s only, everywhere in the building.
What we provide
- Sauna with a shower: robe, towel and slides, plus soap and shampoo if you need them.
- Sauna without a shower: a fresh towel.
- Massage machine: nothing at all needed - you stay fully clothed.
- In the changing room, the desk holds gentle makeup removing wipes for sensitive skin, and a hair dryer with attachments for different hair types.
- Refrigerated water is available to buy, and you are welcome to bring your own bottle.
- What to bring: yourself. That is genuinely all.
What to wear

- Sauna: entirely your choice - the robe, a towel, or nothing at all. It is your own private cubicle and nobody else sees you.
- Massage machine: fully clothed. Loose, comfortable clothes work best.
Practical things
- Toilets: none on site, but there are plenty of cafés and pubs within a minute’s walk.
- Parking: free 45-minute parking on Union Street and Friar Street, just a 5-minute walk from Cappa. If those are full, several paid car parks are a short walk away.
- Groups: yes - tap several available rooms to hold them all, then pay for them together in one go.
- Payment: online when you book, through our secure payment partners SumUp and Stripe. If paying in person we are card only.
How long should I book?
- Customers and staff both recommend 20 minutes for sauna and 30 for massage.
- First time? 10 minutes is a good way to test the waters.
Safe for you, and house rules
Sauna is very safe and has many benefits, but please check with your doctor first if you are pregnant or have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, a respiratory condition, open wounds or a skin condition.
- No alcohol before a session - we will refuse anyone we believe has been drinking, for your own safety.
- Phones and electronics stay outside the sauna - the heat can damage them, and this is your time to switch off anyway.
- Keep hands and towels clear of the black heater panels; they get very hot.
- Too warm? Step out for a moment or crack the door for cool air. No rush - listen to your body.
- Light-headed or dizzy? Step out straight away and tell us. We would always rather you leave early than push through.
- Drink plenty of water before and after - hydration is your friend.
- We are just a shout away if you need anything.
Changing or cancelling
- Up to 24 hours before: cancel free, with a full refund.
- Up to 2 hours before: you can move it yourself on the manage page, in just a few taps.
- Later than that, or stuck? Call or text Matt and we will try to rearrange. If we cannot, the booking is treated as a no-show under our terms.
Ready when you are
